That One Time When My Dad Snuck The Beatles Out of Dodger Stadium -
AND HOW IT CAN HELP YOU
BECOME A BETTER TRADER

Baseball Spring Training is starting up and my beloved Dodgers are rearing up to see if they can go all the way again this year.
I grew up a die-hard Dodgers fan.
In my formative years, there wasn’t a single day I didn’t think about Steve Garvey, Davey Lopes, Bill Russell, Ron Cey, Steve Yeager, Fernando Valenzuela, and Tommy Lasorda (the Dodgers famous 1980's infield, pitcher, and manager).

In my mind, they weren’t just players — they were Gods.
Maybe my love for the Dodgers is genetic.
My dad was a Dodger guy too — literally.

My Dad back in the 1960's
Back in the ’60s, he worked at Dodger Stadium as an ambulance driver.
And one night, he accidentally became not only part of Dodger's history - but part of Beatles history too.
It was 1966, and The Beatles were playing their second-to-last concert ever at Dodger Stadium.
Fifty thousand fans packed the stands, screaming so loud you couldn’t even hear the band.
My dad said it was like someone set off a jet engine and then handed it a tambourine.
When the show ended, chaos broke out.
The Beatles’ limo was mobbed, kids clinging to the hood, fans scaling walls like it was a zombie apocalypse — one woman even went into labor in the parking lot.
The Beatles limousine was mobbed and blocked in by a frenzied crowd of teenage fans hoping to get a chance to 'touch the hem' of one of the boys - or at least close enough to snap a picture and bragging rights.
Meanwhile, the Beatles were hiding out in the bowels deep beneath Dodger Stadium waiting for their chance to escape.
2 hours later it became apparent they weren't getting out of there in the limousine - which was still surrounded by frenzied crazed fans.
So somebody — maybe a manager, maybe divine intervention — had the bright idea: “Let's try and sneak the Beatles out of here in the ambulance.”
So my dad and his partner was told to load the most famous four men in the world into the back of his ambulance, cover them with blankets, fire up the sirens, and floor it out of there.

And for a few glorious minutes, it worked.
After my Dad steered his way out through the center field gate and onto the back Dodger Stadium parking lot - with the Beatles hiding under blankets in the back - he inadvertently hit the gas, ran over a speed bump that was the the size of Mount Everest and crashed the ambulance into a gate.
And that is when things got REALLY crazy....
Here is a short description of what happened next told by the famous Dodger's announcer Vin Scully...

When I think about that scene — my dad, sweating and embarrassed in a dead and dented 'old-school' station wagon / hearse-like ambulance with the Fab Four hiding in he back under hospital blankets — I realize something...
In life (and in trading), things rarely go according to plan.
Sometimes the limo’s mobbed, the radiator falls out, and you’re left winging it with whatever you’ve got left.
But that’s also where the fun — and the magic — happens.
And speaking of magic… we’ve got some amazing new trades and trainings dropping into my Options Trading Program these next couple of week that I’m ridiculously excited about.
So - if you’re not already in, this is your sign to jump in now — before we fire up the sirens and floor it.
